1st Solutions Pro LLC is a certified mold remediation and restoration company. We also do insulation, dry ice blasting, and property maintenance. We continue to grow and add more to our home improvement business.

In short, we take mold issues and get them back to acceptable levels. Mold remediation is not cheap! In fact, the average job is 3K-7K. The worse the mold issue gets the more expensive it can become to remediate. Most issues due to flooding, moisture, etc. start in the basement or attic. Without attention it can spread easily throughout the home.

Do not hire someone whom is not certified for mold remediation. This is a mistake that could be very costly in the future. Household mold is dangerous and can cause many problems, including illness and the destruction of the property. Mold should never be allowed to grow. Action should be taken immediately by a certified remediation company to prevent further damage and expenses.

Often times the consumer senses there is a problem but is not sure. They may be sick and it just won't seem to pass or they see mold like growth and have the concern. The consumer may want to consider hiring a local certified mold inspector to test the air and/or surface to help determine levels.

A couple myths about mold include:

Using bleach for clean up

Bleach is commonly believed to be an effective fungicide (mold-killer). In one situation, it may be effective: on hard, non-porous surfaces such as a countertop or shower stall. On porous surfaces such as walls, floors, ceilings, and cabinets, however, it is not effective. In fact, it can actually feed the mold and make the problem worse. This is counterintuitive - it goes against the common thought that bleach kills germs. How can bleach feed the mold when it is supposed to kill it? It has to do with the composition of bleach and the structure of mold. Look to the internet for more answers to this.
